Proving fans right and critics wrong, J Records' O-TOWN is one of the year's biggest music success stories. Now two years since its establishment, O-Town is a full-grown super-group boasting one of the year's best selling albums, a gold single, the summer's #1 hit and two sold out concert tours. Upon its release in January, O-Town's self-titled debut album emerged at # 5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart and to date has sold over a million units. In addition, O-Town has just recorded a new song "We Fit Together" which is featured on the Dr. Dolittle II soundtrack and has been added to their album. Their reality TV show "Making the Band" also just completed its second season on ABC.

O-Town's signing with J Records last September provided a climactic grand finale to their first season as TV stars of ABC's "Making the Band." Millions of young music fans tuned into the reality TV show to watch the rising pop quintet unite and evolve piece by piece. A breakthrough concept in music and television, the show allowed the public to witness the careers of five young musicians come to life. The talented bunch - made up of Ashley Parker Angel, Erik-Michael Estrada, Dan Miller, Trevor Penick, and Jacob Underwood- endured months of sharpening their skills to become the most anticipated, most watched new musical group. As documented by "Making the Band", O-Town signed with Clive Davis' new label J Records in September, 2000 and began recording with music's hottest pop writers and producers including Warryn Campbell, Diane Warren, Steve Kipner and Desmond Child. The debut album -which Billboard described as "chock full of strong vocals, harmonies and hook-laden songs" - arrived at a stunning #5 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart, selling over 144,500 in its first week. The explosive O-Town debut was built upon the foundation of a hot Top 40 radio campaign and a groundbreaking video for "Liquid Dreams" which was a staple on the MTV TRL countdown. O-Town was no stranger to hard work during this time and clocked dozens and dozens of TV appearances including Good Morning America, Live with Regis and Kelly, The View and many, many more.
Today, O-Town's growth spurt is astounding. With over a million records sold, videos for "All or Nothing" and "We Fit Together" display real progress, maturity and fine performances. Intense audience reactions at the live shows unmistakably confirm the band as a pop powerhouse with a solid and dedicated fan base. And on stage, the group delivers the total package with live instrumentation by members Jacob and Ashley and top-notch vocals and choreography.
Clive Davis, CEO of J Records confirms the band's staying power, "If it just takes having a television show, then anybody that stars in a television show could make an album and have hit singles and that has not happened" he said. "There is something extraordinarily unique here in O-Town."
